What gets me fired up?
- Education – The last, great journey (well, other than Mariana’s Trench) to conquer. With rising pressure from the government and business, we must work harder and faster to prepare the next generation. Sometimes it can be quite overwhelming – but with some faith, tools and motivation we CAN make big changes in the world our students learn in today!
- Faith – In these ramblings, I’ll explore my faith-walk (and probably yours too). Keeping track of the glory of God through 6 a.m. mornings, breaking up fights, working within budgets and deadlines – (sigh) – can be challenging at least. But, there’s something to be said for God’s grace. (I think he even laughs at my jokes.)
- Mommy-hood, Working and Life -I didn’t think I’d ever be a mommy. Especially after the horror of September 11, 2001. Fortunately for me and my family, God was in control. I am the proud mother of three beautiful children. Madeline, John Alan and Reed. They are a joy, challenge and adventure every day (usually before 8 a.m.). While I never planned on being a mom, I knew that if I was, I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom. Well, I’m on my seventh year of trying to make that a reality. It’s difficult to manage the stress and strains of a 40 hour a week job on top of having little ones; however, there’s some grace there for us as well.
- Motivation – Everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE needs a swift kick once in a while. Where do you get it? Is it something you can do for yourself? Or is it a gift from someone else?
